Biography
ダブリン北地区のイースト・ウォールに生まれる。中高一貫校を中退後、電気工事士となる。1980年代にはジンバブエで電気技師兼電気技術の指導を行なっていた。帰国後、その仕事にやりがいを感じなくなり、偶然目にした演劇学校の広告を見て応募し俳優となったという、異色の経歴の持ち主である。

2007年、映画『麦の穂をゆらす風』で、アイルランド映画テレビ賞の長編映画部門・助演男優賞を受賞した。
