キウェテル・イジョフォー、OBEはイギリス出身の俳優。『Radio Times』は「CHOO-it-tell EDGE-ee-oh-for」と発音するとしている一方、『エンパイア』は「CHOO-wet-el EJJ-i-oh-for」と発音するとしている。日本語においては「チウェテル・エジョフォー」、「チュイテル・イジョフォー」、「チュイーテル・イジオフォー」と表記されることもある。

ロンドンでナイジェリア出身のイボ人の両親の元に生まれる。父は医師で母は薬剤師であった。13歳の時からダリッジ・カレッジで演技を学ぶ。1995年に演劇『オセロ』でオセロ役を得て、注目される。1997年にスティーヴン・スピルバーグの『アミスタッド』で映画デビューを果たす。

彼はロンドンの演劇界で重要な役者となり、ローレンス・オリヴィエ賞など数々の賞を受賞する。映画への出演が増えた現在も、シェイクスピア関連の演劇を中心に出演し続けている。2008年には大英帝国勲章を授与された。
